Wingate Inn Reviews

We had to make a quick trip to Mayo Jacksonville driving Sat and Sun for 6am appt and she had rt kidney, adrenal and gall bladder removed. Looking for close to Mayo called Wingate and Thomas was very nice and told about a coupon at roomsaver. We checked in 2/13 and sister 2/14 and they left the 20th using coupon. It is now 2/27 and hope to head home tomorrow. All staff have been wonderful, Grocery and restaurants next to hotel and 4 min to Mayo has made this horible health experience more comfortable. May take 3 days to drive home so I do not harm my wife and we are looking for Wingate or equal as we go. Thomas and Tommy at desk have been very nice, rooms with ref/mic is nice, housekeeping very good and good breakfast. We had a king and after surgery needed two beds and they put us close and helped move. My brother-law searched and stayed at Wingate on way home in Atlanta. We will be back.

Our family decided to do something a little different this past New Year's Eve - we took our 5 year old twins skiing. It was an awesome time. We spent the night at the Wingate Inn in Auburn Hills, MI.

Check-in was a long process, as they were extremely busy. We asked for a quite room and he desk clerk put in in the room next to the pool (not sure what he was thinking).

It was great to have a hot breakfast the next morning and not have to go out and leave the hotel. Except that they hotel was so full, we couldn't get a table. The breakfast items were scarce as there they were not prepared for the amount of people staying in the hotel. In fact, another family we were with went to McDonald's down the road.

We were extrememly happy with the rooms and were looking forward to staying again this year, except the room rates went up $30 for that night. So we are looking elsewhere at this point.

Overall, I would stay in this hotel again. I would just hope that management did better with their services when their hotel was full.
