I tried several times to send money via western union online to my husband overseas, to no avail. I received an online reference number to take to a location, the locations aren't trained to use reference numbers, not to mention they only had one sending option which was more expensive than what they were offering online. When I did a chat with someone, they just told me to keep trying! Did nothing for me. I called and explained the whole situation and still got nothing resolved! I am appalled at Western Union, they will NOT be getting my service again!!!

Western Union Is a no hassle liason between the reciever and the person sending the funds its fast and easy and always accurate. I love Western Union for all my money needs.

I USED TO LOVE USING WU SERVICES ON LINE OR AT AN AGENT STORE...AND I NOTICED THE TRANSFER FEES HAVE BEEN RISING WITH THE FUEL PRICES..

THEIR BULLSHIT THAT THEY HAVE OTHER FEES TO PAY TO MAKE TRANSFERS IS HOGWASH...

DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DON'T FALL FOR THIS CRAP..USE MONEY GRAM ...AT LEAST THEY ARE ON YOUR SIDE..COS THE MORE YOU SEND WITH WESTERN UNION THE MORE YOU PAY IN FEES..

WHETHER ITS DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL..THESE PEOPLE NEED TO SHUT SHOPP..AND WE THE CONSUMER CAN DO THIS BY not USING THEIR SERVICES..

I go online to find the numbersand codes of the small Western Union office we need to send to in Cuba,where there IS a western Union service that many people use, and after finding all the correct info. and begin the process of sending , see that " only service to Guantanamo" is listed in the instructions... What's going on? I want to use the coupon we got and WU is making this process painfully difficult... go ahead and enter us to win an android device, maybe it will make this worth it!

I would like to send enough money to my family in the East of Cuba for them to buy a refrigerator... After going to a WU service location I find you can only use a bank credit or debit card. How about my American express card? so now I am waiting over 4 days for my # passcode to arrive by snailmail so I can send it online. Not so happy about the hoops to jump thru , hoping that Western Union is more together next time...

My mortgage company insisted on a payment by 3/30 with certified check, or western union. But they told me at 4:30 on 3/29. No way I could make it to the bank, then to FedEx in time, plus the delivery cost would have been $30, easy. So, Western Union came to the rescue. I paid the bill on the 30th from my laptop. And the cost was less than half. Not a bad deal. I'll definitely use it again.

I love Western Union online. My oldest son serves in the US Army and has been going through a divorce. He has needed some financial help and Western Union online has provided a fast, QUICK, EASY, and efficient way for me to help in SECONDS! The site is user friendly, set up is easy, and once the set up is complete sending money takes just a few quick seconds! I especially like how it stores receiver information from past transactions to make sending to the same person even faster and easier. It protects my stored information, and prevents me from using anyone else's credit information, (I know this because we tried using my husbands credit card once on my account and were not allowed to!) I also recieve confirmation e-mail alerts directly to my e-mail that confirm that the money has been sent and when my son has picked up his money. All this and I NEVER EVEN LEAVE MY HOME! I love it! Thanks Western Union!

When my mothers in the Dominican Republic I send money two or maybe three times, I used to use Western Union because I can send money through my bank with my account with them online. I used to use a coupon code to get $5 off the service fee, but it has since not worked and I haven't been able to find another code to save money. How much does it cost for a transfer anyway, not $10.. especially when you save THEM money by using online service rather than going to a physical store. I had a problem with a transfer once and called customer service only to speak with someone in India with broken English... if they drop some of their ego and stop thinking they're the best thing since sliced bread in the transfer world I won't be using them anytime soon until they start thinking of ways to help us the consumers a little more.

I must say i am grateful for western union and its nationwide access- I find the process to be not all that complicate ( which is nice) the fees are acceptible and I would have been up the creek without a paddle many times if it weren't for Western Union!

Western Union's fees are incredibly high. I was sending $90 and they would charge $15 for in person, $20 for online, and $25 on the phone! When I went to send money, the online feature was unavailable. I did not want to find a location and go through all that hassle. I decided to just not go with Western Union. They frustrated me with their rediculous fees and expectations. NEVER use Western Union. It's a waste of time and money.

I have not dealt with Western Union much because each time I used it, I have had a horrible time trying to contact someone from their company to ask a question. They have a few numbers on their website that claim to always get you directly to a representative but I never have gotten one. I went to an agent location to send money and received only a small paper to fill out. They said I needed to call them first to get a certain number. I went home and searched for literally DAYS trying to find this number until I finally went and called the agent location to get a number. Nowhere on their website does it have this number at all. Also, their fees are very high. I will never work with them again.

The only bad experience was when the new machine took my money, but the teller apologized and gave me it back. Nothing else to report it is a bank.

I've transferred money with Western Union on a few occasions and have never had any problems. Their services are dependable. Some of their prices might be a little more then competitors' but it's not usually too much hassle to bother with anyone else. I would recommend them.
