You have to be very careful about tracking your purchase.

But their customer service is great, and thorough.

Ebay is one of the greatest inventions of all time. You can literally search for anything, and chances are, it will probably be on there and cheap! My father is an ebay fanatic. He bought his truck, my mother's suburban, and my 2000 mercedes e320 4matic off of ebay. It is the greatest place to find deals.

I love EBay, I've got to admit. If you know what you're doing and you're willing to spend a little time with it, you can't get some unheard of deals. I always use EBay for cellphone/computer accessories. I've gotten jewelry, bedding, auto parts, even a waterbed mattress and heater off EBay. They system is good and I put a lot of trust in it. The review system seems honest and helps you make informed decisions about the sellers and what you are buying. More people should really get into EBay and add it to their list of online merchants they shop with.

The bad not as many private party sellers with great deals on lightly used equipment.

Ebay can be a very good site to get expensive things for cheap. But the biggest con to Ebay is its human error. People can mislead you to paying for something you didn't intend for. Knockoffs and deceit are common. Only buy from trusted sellers or stores.

I've had an experience where the item was lacking components it was to come with (an ipod that was listed as having many accessories, came with none). Ebay did nothing about this- we had a 'forum' thing and the seller said they would credit my paypal yet never did. Despite ebays popularity, i tend to avoid it, especially for big purchases, unless I see something really hard to pass up.

eBay is such an amazing idea for a website. Whoever came up with it is one of the smartest people ever. I love the site because it offers an almost infinite amount of items to look through. The prices are good for the most part with normal sellers and I love bidding on things and especially winning! I go on ebay at least once a day, I am addicted!

eBay is the best online marketplace you can find. I love the selection of items you can choose from. There is even a miscellaneous category with random items you can browse through. It is easy to pay if you have PayPal especially and checkout is easy. I love ordering from eBay.

eBay.com is a highly useful website. You can find almost anything for a discounted price. Most of the products are of good quality. It's a website you have to "shop smart on". Useful for selling things you're looking to get rid of that are in good condition.

It is easy to go onto ebay to find pretty much anything you could possibly want. Sometimes it is fun just browsing a certain category and I usually end up finding something that reminds me of something else I can buy. Although I have had a few bad sellers, eBay gets me my money back most of the time.

I use eBay almost every day. Whether I am looking for cheap items, selling items I already have, or buying items that I want, I fee like I am always on the website. I cannot imagine buying things for full price in stores or online. eBay helps especially around Christmas when I am trying to find more rare and interesting cheap things to buy. My only complaint is that the listing fees are too high! eBay takes 15% of my sale in video games. I think that is way to high and that is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

I have not had good experiences with ebay. Twice I posted an item for sale and twice it was 'won' by fraudulent bidders and never purchased. After that, I said forget it and I will not attempt to sell on ebay again.

You can find anything on Ebay. Discontinued items (ie. electronics, Blue jeans... anything). But, know the person you are dealing with. If they have poor reviews... you must know that what those people experienced could happen to you.

Anytime I see a product I must have at a store or from television I always look up the retail price and then go right to Ebay. I got a brand new Rhoomba for 1/3 the cost at the store. I also own my own business and do not want to get supplies from craft stores here where something can end up in the hands of another person! So I often buy from the UK and Germany unique items from cloth to beading to add some flare to one of my designs- and I know it is unique. A lot of people don't know how easy it is to find what you want if you just take the time to look for a good deal. I have purchased 2 pairs of eye glasses every year for 7 years from Ebay by going to get my eye exam, finding the frames I like, and then finding them on Ebay! Then I just send them to get my lenses put in.I bought one pair of Prada frames that were 349 at a big discount chain for just 29 dollars. Ebay is worth it if you like to save money and I can't even count how many times I have "finally decided to get rid of something" and sold it in a snap.

I used to shop on eBay all of the time, until professional resellers overflooded the market. Now, it is very hard to find legit deals from other regular users, as there are hundreds of people all drop-shipping from the same major distributors and flooding listing details with overpriced products.

I'm also not crazy about the "eBay effect" - by which I mean the phenomenon we see around major product releases. Too many people now make a living out of buying high-demand items and re-selling them on eBay, which just creates an artificial sense of demand, inflates prices, and creates headaches for both retailers and consumers. Look at game system, hot toys, designer clothing, Jordan shoes, or anything else and you see the same thing.
