Better than other gift cards
I prefer the American Express gift cards to other gift cards because they allow more shopping freedom. Also one of my big issues with gift cards is that it is difficult to use them when there is a low residual balance. American Express makes this much easier than the others by just allowing your shopping total to be decreased by the remaining card balance.
