If you're a student, this site is wonderful to post your items and buy as well. As it works similarly to ebay, you just have to watch out that you get your items on time. I had one instance where the sender squelched on my buy, but I simply contacted Half.com and was able to get my money back without much hassle.

Shopping at half.com is a bargain hunters dream. Their specialties are books, movies, games, gaming systems and music. They are fairly easy to navigate and do have a wish list for those titles you would like to see at lower rate. The dealers are reliable. There is a feeback system for people to leave comments on the transactions, so big incentive to keep dealers reliable. They also have a contact the dealer option. The shipping is 2.99 per item, but supposedly it can go lower if you purchase from the same dealer. Now every rose has it's thorn, and to me the thorn is it's affiliation with Ebay. At first if you are not fully registered with Ebay, you may have to enter your credit card information just to log on. That can get to be a pain. But once you are registered and in, have fun shopping.

If you are a college student you know the cost of your textbooks can easily surpass the tuition itself. My niece told me of half.com. Best deals I have ever got on my books. I paid $25.99 for 'Writing Today', a book that would have cost a whopping $72.95 at the UAA bookstore. I am so stoked! Thank you half.com.

I use them a lot, and the book deals are great-you can often get books for a small fraction of the cost. The only thing that adds up, are the shipping costs, which are a bit high.

Half.com is the first place that I think to search whenever I am in need of a book, video, audiobook, or dvd. Being from a small Native American reservation in New Mexico, there are no places to shop for items like this. The nearest place to shop for media is located 40 miles away, and therefore, not accessible most times, especially in the winter when there is lots of snow. Half.com has been a personal lifesaver at many times for a good many years now. I have shopped on Half.com for my own personal use, and for my children and their student needs. In fact, tonight I will be purchasing required reading material for my junior in high school. Never once have I been disappointed in mailing time or quality of items. I enjoy finding good prices on books but it is maddening when you know there is a current coupon code and you can't find it!

I suggest half.com to my students for their textbooks. It saves my kids a ton of cash!

I regularly buy books and videos from Half.com because I can always find a better deal!

I don't always care if my book is brand new, especially if I want it as a reference book, so there is no better place to find what I want at an excellent price.
